"Freedom, opportunity, and quality of life - To realize that American dream, we need world-class leadership in Washington, DC and not career politicians recycling cheap establishment talking points. I will fight for Hawaii and the next generation of Americans with real solutions."
Tim Dalhouse
PRO-AMERICA & PRO-HAWAII

The USA should be a strong international leader and help those that help our interests. We cannot be isolationists.
But, we should not neglect our own people and needs here at home in order to fund things like a cricket team in Pakistan, home mortgages in Nigeria, and helping people learn Facebook in Kenya.
It's time to put our country and our state first allocating resources to solve our dire problems at home like homelessness, high cost of living, deteriorating infrastructure, and accessibility to quality health care.
PRO-ELECTION INTEGRITY

We must not allow the loudest corner protest to sway government action nor questionable elections to determine who's in public office. Every voter's voice has equal weight. The right to vote in a free and fair election is the most basic civil right, one on which many of the other rights of the American people depend. We must enact and follow laws, regulations, and best practices for fair, secure, and honest elections.
PRO-FREEDOM

Obviously, the government has the duty and authority to protect public safety. We see that in laws requiring seatbelts, restricting speed on our roads, and prohibiting smoking at gas pumps, all of which have widespread public acceptance.
But emergency mandates that have no identified end nor oversight from legislative bodies have no place in our democratic republic. Our elected officials cannot assume the position of dictator because there is a potential threat to public safety.
We must establish laws that prevent the exercise of unchecked and unilateral power of the executive branch of government at the federal, state, and local levels.
PRO-FAMILY

I will work to empower parents to have the most input over their children’s health and education choices. The state doesn’t own your children. You, the parents, are responsible for them and should be involved in every element of your child's upbringing.
Moral values, sense of purpose, acceptable standards of personal conduct, appropriate social behaviors, along with spiritual and religious values, should be taught at home. The government should support parents in this most important God-given responsibility.
PRO-LAW ENFORCEMENT

I support a strong criminal justice system and well-trained, funded, & staffed police force to protect public safety. We should also create routes for non-violent offenders to avoid prison and have a second chance at the American Dream while keeping repeat offenders off the streets.
We must help prevent kids who get into trouble from slipping into a lifetime of crime and help adults who commit non-violent crimes become more self-reliant and less likely to commit future crimes. The root causes of crime and violence must be identified and addressed.
PRO-GUN RIGHTS

I support the right to keep and bear arms with common sense measures in place to protect public safety by keeping weapons out of the hands of violent criminals.
The last few years of mass shootings have raised the voice of dissent against the 2nd Amendment, and the concerns are understandable. But we must address the root cause of violence as a societal mental health crisis and not solely a gun issue. People bent on violence will always find a way to perpetrate it. We must work to decrease the propensity for violence in our society.
When gun ownership is criminalized, only criminals will have guns.
PRO-LIFE

I believe that life begins at conception and ends at natural death. I also believe that it is the duty of government to protect the right to life in all of its stages.
I oppose federal funding for abortion and will attempt to stop the flow of taxpayer dollars to groups that conduct or support abortion.
But, I also know that this is a very complex and emotional issue for pregnant women who feel they are trapped in a no-win situation. We must provide robust options and support for women so that choosing life for their unborn child is the obvious best choice.
PRO-INFRASTRUCTURE

I support building and modernizing our national and state infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population and economy. We must keep pace with technology, energy concerns, and other countries.
But, we must have accountability for efficient projects that ensure limited resources are not wasted. We must not allow infrastructure spending to be used as cover for unnecessary pet projects.
PRO-FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

We must balance federal spending with available resources. Anyone who's ever managed a personal or household budget knows the danger of too much debt and deficit spending.
Our current federal spending policies encourage national debt, weaken our economy, and threaten the financial stability of future generations of Americans. I will support fiscal responsibility in the Senate and balanced budgets.
PRO-TAX REFORM

Taxes are necessary to fund our government, provide for our national defense, and promote the general welfare of our society. Everyone should pay their fair share. But burdensome taxes hurt small business, crush our economy, and stifle opportunity.
I support simplifying the tax code and downsizing the IRS to stimulate entrepreneurship, job creation, increased wages, and expanded opportunity for everyone.
PRO-MILITARY

As a U.S. Marine combat veteran, I believe in President Ronald Reagan’s “Peace through Strength.” The world should see us as "No better friend, no worse enemy" as stated by General Mattis.
We must protect our interests and our citizens as well as be a strong and respected leader on the world stage. But the decision to enter war should not be taken lightly and must be done only as the Constitution requires: with a formal declaration from Congress.
Our military members deserve the best in weapons, equipment, pay, quality of life, and support from elected officials.
PRO-AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE

I believe that healthcare in this country is far from perfect. To fix the current problems and move us to a system that benefits all, we must approach the problem from 3 key angles; rising healthcare costs, access to quality care, and a system focused on improving health rather than just treating conditions.
Some people equate insurance with access, but simply having insurance is no guarantee to access necessary care. Hawaii has one of the biggest healthcare shortages in the country and it continues to worsen each year due to out of date laws and high costs to healthcare professionals.
During the pandemic, lockdowns were enforced in attempt to limit the burden on an already over-stressed healthcare system. By improving healthcare and the laws around it in our state and across the country, we can ensure access to quality care, at affordable rates, when people need it.
PRO-VETERAN

As a military veteran myself who served in combat, escorted home the remains of three Marines killed in Iraq, and having a stepson currently serving in the Navy, I strongly support all efforts to provide for the needs of veterans and their families.
We must honor the extreme physical, emotional, psychological, and financial impacts that serving in the military, particularly during wartime, have on veterans and their families. In my opinion, we simply cannot do enough for these brave souls who carry out the will of our government on the battlefield.
We must fully fund the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and hold them accountable for effective and efficient care of our veterans.
PRO-AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Lack of affordable housing is crippling families and increasing homelessness across our country and state. We must do the hard work to determine all the contributing factors to out of control rents and real estate prices and then determine a best set of solutions. We must rebuild hope in the American Dream of living securely in a safe, healthy, and happy home.
PRO-NATIVE HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS

The federal government owes a historical debt to all native peoples of the United States, and I will champion Native Hawaiian affairs in the U.S. Senate.
I will work hard to secure needed funding and coordinate the efforts of the multiple agencies and organizations across the federal and state governments to deliver improved outcomes. We must ensure economic stability, educational pathways, quality housing, and healthy outcomes for the lāhui. Preservation of Hawaiian historic and sacred places is a must to pass on to future generations.
PRO-ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

I support energy independence for the United States by leveraging our fossil fuel resources in the near term. I also support developing coordinated, effective and efficient plans for future transition to additional renewable resources. America is never truly secure if we allow foreign countries to control our energy supply.
We must use our earth's resources wisely while providing economic growth and stability to families. We should protect our natural environment and, at the same time, support the financial well-being of Americans. There must be a coordinated effort to use our resources wisely for the benefit of all.
PRO-BORDER SECURITY

I 100% support secure borders and immigration that follows our due process laws giving entry to immigrants seeking the freedom and opportunity that America offers and asylum from violence or repression.
We must secure our borders and allow the rule of law to manage the stream of immigrants entering the country while offering compassion to those in the process and defending human rights. This will protect U.S. sovereignty, ensure public safety, enable orderly immigrant processing and help slow the flow of illegal drugs and human trafficking at our borders.
